Welcome Ministry volunteers are available after all Masses at the Welcome table located in the Gathering Space. Volunteers greet new members, answer questions about activities and events in our parish, take suggestions or comments and help parishioners connect with groups and activities. Eucharistic Adoration is the heart of who we are as Catholics: the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Prayer Line Volunteers offer individual prayers for requests by our parishioners, generously giving their time to pray daily for those who are ill, grieving, or suffering in any way. Prayer Shawl Ministry Volunteers pray for those who are ill while making a prayer shawl that will remind recipients of the parish’s promise of continued prayer. Most of the work is done at home, but names, yarn or instructions may be picked up at any time. If you are aware of someone in need of
Altar Servers assist at Mass by lighting candles, holding the book of prayers, carrying the processional cross and helping the priest during the Offertory. Children who have celebrated their First Communion are invited to join this ministry. Training is provided at various times throughout the year and parents can select their preferred Mass time. Our Eucharistic Ministers visit parish members who are unable to leave their homes due to illness on Friday mornings and weekends. They also visit Catholic residents in the Andover care centers. Contact: Teresa Marshall-Patterson – [email protected]
Greeters and Ushers welcome all who come through our doors at Mass. This ministry is a great volunteer opportunity for new parishioners to meet other members of our parish family. Ushers also assist with seating, help with the Offertory, provide direction during the Communion procession and distribute the weekly bulletin at the end of Mass.

Our Media Ministry assists with our sound and livestreaming systems for Mass and various events in the Ville. Individuals who have any interest in audio/visual or theatrical technology will enjoy this ministry! Volunteers first receive training, and schedules are sent in advance. The Be Our Guest Ministry focuses on welcome and service, extending hospitality and support to our parish family and the wider community: Funeral luncheons are prepared and served for families, providing the comfort of a home-cooked meal and an opportunity for fellowship and sharing of memories. Volunteers help with meal preparation and serving. Reception and
Bereavement volunteer opportunities are available for teenagers to adults. This ministry extends to those who are grieving the compassionate care and support from our faith community. Practical ministries are offered from hosting out-of-town relatives, house sitting, etc., to “companion” ministries that help with the mailing of support materials, or calling or visiting the bereaved. Greeting Card Ministry volunteers meet periodically to make greeting cards for the homebound of our area and sick in our parish. The cards can be used to write to family and friends with the hassle of having to shop for cards. It gives us an opportunity to use our creative gifts and share them with

This ministry fosters health and wellness through compassionate service, support and education. Volunteers provide meals for families during times of illness. Knights of Columbus members assist the parish and community in many areas, including helping to raise funds for Life Saver Sunday, holding the annual Tootsie Roll drive, raising donations for seminarians in our diocese, and sponsoring a Boy Scout program. The mission of the Lord’s Diner is to serve a nutritious meal with dignity and respect to anyone who is hungry. Volunteers from St. Vincent serves monthly at the N. Broadway location, the S. The Respect Life Ministry provides education and outreach activities throughout the year to support that all of life is sacred, from conception to death. Time is also spend weekly in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel for prayer and meditation, celebrating the gift of life. Volunteers help with Respect Life baby showers held twice a year and
St. Augustine Indian Mission is our sister parish located in Winnebago, Nebraska. Volunteers help raise funds to help with school equipment and gather school supplies each fall. We also fund the salary of a kindergarten teacher each year. Contact: Greg Anderson, [email protected]
