Andover Tornado Assistance

If you need assistance or want to help:

Prayers for the families in our community that suffered damage during Friday’s storm.

Anyone who has sustained damage and needs assistance, please call 211 or go to the Andover Community building located at 1008 E. 13th Street here in Andover.

All volunteers must go to the Andover Methodist Church located at 1429 N. Andover Road and register. The Methodist Relief team is on hand to register all volunteers. No volunteers will be allowed into the area of damaged homes without a badge, and volunteers will need to go to the Methodist Church each day to receive a new badge and volunteer assignment. Their hours are 7 am to 7 pm each day until further notice.

All used clothing and household item (dishes, towels, sheets, etc.) donations must be taken to the Goodwill Store located at 415 S. Andover Rd. They are giving out vouchers for free items to tornado victims.

Bottled water and non-perishable items can be dropped off at St. Vincent or at the Andover Community Food Bank located at 1429 N. Andover Road.

The Holiday Inn Express is accepting vouchers for a one or two-night stay for tornado victims. If you receive a call from someone asking for this type of assistance, refer them to the Andover Chamber of Commerce at 316-733-0648.

Monetary donations can be dropped off here at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, or they can donate on the United Way website at: bit.ly/3LPk03W.

If businesses, restaurants, etc., want to donate food, call Michele – 316-733-1423, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. We know there are teams of volunteers at different locations, so we will try to help coordinate the efforts.

Our St. Vincent de Paul Society and Knights of Columbus are here to help those needing financial assistance. If you have a specific request, please contact Michele at 316-733-1423 for more information
