Who? What? When? Where?
Who is LIFE for?
Everyone!
What is LIFE?
LIFE is an ongoing faith building process for everyone in the parish. LIFE began with the vision of Vatican Council II, which called us to return to our roots. In the early years, handing down the Faith was first about conversion to Jesus and then about deepening that relationship over a lifetime. The Early Church achieved this the same way Jesus did, by focusing on adults and using the scriptures, liturgy, community, and service.
Over time, the focus shifted from faith formation to religious education, and instead of being for everyone, it was directed primarily to children. Instead of being life-long, it followed a school year time frame. Instead of being centered on the Scriptures, it followed a textbook curriculum.
The Church is asking us to return to our original and primary goal by making Christ the center of all our efforts to grow our faith. LIFE is for everyone. LIFE is ongoing. LIFE is rooted in the Scriptures. The truths of the faith are taught in ways that touch our hearts as well as minds.
When is LIFE?
LIFE is held 8 times each year. Each session has two separate show times to fit most families schedules.
- Sunday 4:45pm
- Wednesday 5:45pm
Where is LIFE?
LIFE begins with the community coming together to break bread, and therefore The Ville is the perfect starting point or LIFE. Throughout the evening individuals may travel to many different locations within the church building, but each evening will conclude with the community regathering in The Ville.
