LIFE 2009 November: The Mass - Listen

Last month we focused on gathering for mass. We learned that we gather because we have been invited by God to do so. We come from our many places to be united as one. We are the Church made visible by our presence together. After we gather, we are then invited to listen to God’s Word of faithfulness and love. We call this part of the mass the Liturgy of the Word.

Last month’s look at the gathering rite took a rear-view mirror approach, remember? Go! Set! Ready! Tonight we’ll Listen! Look! Stop! our way through the Liturgy of the Word. Here we go, backing down the road again!
